Tracie is a writer, editor and educator with an MFA in creative writing/fiction from UNC-Greensboro, an M.A. in English with a creative writing concentration from N.C. State University and a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University. She has taught courses including African American Literature, journalism, creative writing and first-year writing at colleges and universities that include Guilford College, N.C. Central University and N.C. A&T State University. Tracie also has worked as a reporter, features writer, editorial writer and editor with daily newspapers in North Carolina and Virginia. In her tutoring work, she loves seeing students grow as readers and writers.
