Alex has an MA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Vassar College. After graduating college, Alex spent several years living and studying in India. From 2015-2019, he studied in the PhD program in History at the University of Minnesota, specializing in South Asian and US history. Since moving to Durham in 2019, he has worked as an educator for the YMCA and Carrboro-Chapel Hill City Schools. He is a fiction writer and an avid reader.
