Jo Bear

Jo is a poet, scholar, and educator with an MFA in poetry from North Carolina State University and an MA in Drama and Performance Studies from University College Dublin. As an educator, they believe strongly that each student arrives with their own ways of knowing and being. Jo foregrounds accessibility in their teaching as a means of rooting their practice in curiosity and care. They have previously worked as a tutor at NC State’s Graduate Writing Center and have taught as a guest teaching artist and a teacher of record across Performance Studies and English classes in Ireland and the United States.
